Dividend Income Update // July 2017

July Dividends

  • The Walt Disney Company (DIS) – $9.36

Total dividends received for the month of July: $9.36

July marks my two-year dividend investing anniversary (well my investing journey period)! What a better way to celebrate than to recognize the fact that Disney has rewarded me as a shareholder and increased the dividend payout by 9% which has caused this July dividend income update to show an increase of last July’s update. Cheers to many more investing anniversary’s and YOY dividend increases!

Dividend Income Update // June 2017

June Dividends

  • Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) – $16.80
  • Amgen, Inc. (AMGN) – $9.20
  • Pepsi Co, Inc. (PEP) – $8.05
  • T. Rowe Price (TROW) – $17.10

Total dividends received for the month of June: $51.15

Hey there! Another month has come to an end, I’ve tallied up my dividends and low and behold…I’ve crossed the $50 mark in monthly dividend income. Now this doesn’t mean that I’m making $50 in dividend income every month (I’m currently averaging ~$22 per month) but it feels fantastic to have crossed that mark.

June is historically a higher payout month and June 2017 surely did not disappoint. In addition to having a majority of my holdings paying out this month, I also saw a 5% increase from JNJ and a 7% increase from PEP- not too bad for merely holding on to those shares!

Dividend Income Update // May 2017

dividend income

  • Kinder Morgan, Inc. (KMI) – $3.50
  • Starbucks Corporation (SBUX) – $8.25

Total dividends received for the month of May: $11.75

Here we are at the beginning of a brand new month…which means we have a chance to look backwards and count up all of the wonderful dividends that were deposited in our accounts! The rent may be due at this time but this is still the most wonderful time of the month, in my opinion!

May is always a slow month for me but I still managed to make nearly $12 bucks just from holding onto shares. Not a bad way to make a few dollars!
