Sorry I haven’t written in so long! My current position as an unemployed recent graduate has kept me busy with applications, cover letters and resume reviews. But alas, I have stolen some time to write and I honestly have to say I missed you guys!
June has been an eventful month! I’ve spent most of my time working my little part time gig but I have had some time to “stop and smell the roses”. One thing I’ve noticed (and I will continue to carry this habit into my fulltime career) is to take a moment (or two or three) throughout the day to 1). Count your blessings and 2). Do something either crazy, fun, spontaneous (or a combination of the three). Life is definitely too short to worry about what you dont have, how many bills you still have yet to pay, or , in my case, how many resumes you have to send out just to get an email response back!
I recently came across a picture that a friend had tweeted that said “The happiest people don’t have the best of everything, they just make the best of everything.” I think that’s probably the best way to describe real joy; everything may not be going exactly how you want it to but real happiness comes from enjoying what you do have and appreciating the small blessings in your life.
So make the most with what you’ve got! #grind
